Union of Friends of the USSR in Czechoslovakia

Bachelor thesis is focused on the Union of Friends of the USSR in Czechoslovakia. Association was established in 1930 and it went out of existence in 1948, when it was transformed into the Union of Czechoslovak-Soviet Friendship. This association presented achievements of building of socialism in the Soviet Union and informed about social and cultural statement in the USSR. Author describes development of this association and his activities. Thesis is divided into six main chapters. The first chapter describes Soviet Union in its participation in the foreign policy between years 1922, when USSR was established, and 1948, when existence of Union of Friends of the USSR in Czechoslovakia ended. The second chapter deals with the definition of this association and its legal definition. The third one focuses on the other organizations, which activities were specialised in Soviet Union, it is briefly dealt with Society for Cultural and Economic Relations with the USSR. Author describes Union of Friends of the USSR in Czechoslovakia, his development, activities and the most significant persons connected with this association in the fourth, crucial chapter.
